this particularly offensive magazine really says
it all:
"Barbie mag is packed with heaps of hot fashion, pretty
beauty bits, unreal activities, all the latest entertainment news and
incredible competitions! It's inspirational, cool and most importantly, lots
& lots of fun. Barbie magazine really is a girl's best friend."

Now is it just me or does this really sound suitable when you consider that
most little girls who read this mind-decaying crap will be aged around 8?
Do they really
need to know what the grown women in Charlie's Angels wear or to be told how to party?
Please only bother answering if you have intelligence and standards, not if
you are one of those parents, so-called friends or relatives who buy "cute" black
bras sized for kids, and yes we have seen those for sale in the children's
section at local
department stores.
It's time we accepted that when
we buy this kind of item we are simply encouraging
the child to grow up too fast! Help them enjoy the wonders of childhood
imagination, true fun and play for as long as possible.! |
